I have noticed that sometimes, When you want to patronize a business as early as 8am, you don't get to find businesses in the need that would be open by that time.

I want to find out why some business people open early while majority open very late in the day.

Some people are just lazy so they get up late to start preparing for the day. Some open late as they intend to sell longer than those that opened early.

The malls here are open at 10 in the morning and ends 8 in the evening, for the normal stores at 8 and for a mini grocery store they open at 6 in the morning to catch up customers.

The opening time of shopping malls usually varies depending on the location. Here in the province where I reside, malls tend to open earlier, around 8 in the morning, while in the city, they tend to open a bit later, around 10 in the morning.

Any business that can't open for the day time by 8 is not worth being a business. People have needs that they probably need to get served very early in the morning and can you imagine how disappointing it would be to come out and can't find a business to serve your pressing need.

Some don't even see the need for early opening. They just believe they would just make sales anytime they open

That's what they think. They don't know that they are creating an identity for their businesses that would be used to define the business.

There are various reasons for this, for some maybe their major target audience cannot be found that early. Let's take does who sell akara (also known as bean cake) for example. Am sure you have never seen anyone start selling as late as 9am or 10am. Majority of them tend to open even as early as 6:30am. For some it could be that they have to sort out things like dropping their kids at school or doing one thing or the other first before they resume work.

Some businesses that don't use to open early may not be because of laziness. Some people have other engagements which may be more important than the business.

It will also depend on the kind of business that you are talking about. Some businesses like milk vendor, egg suppliers, bread providers have to open at early hours as they have more demand and consumers at that time. Liquor shops will have more business in the evening.
Besides that it also depends on the owners. Some owners are too laxy to wake up in the morning.

That's right with this attitude customers would be used to it and wouldn't even bother with checking them out even if they open early later.

Yes, weather has a key role to play. In northern parts of India, it's freezing cold during winters and also a reduced visibility due to fog and smog. Businesses open pretty late in winter and even close early as it gets too cold after dark. And in summers, they have heat waves. So, many shops would be closed from 11_6 in the day time. Not much people go out. So, the businesses open either in early hours or in the evening.

Then, they should not run the business if it's a fact that there is a demand for the products or services of the company at the time and they aren't available. Such a business can't grow. Better still, get someone to help with the business.
